Lead Yoga Instructor
Senior yoga role blending teaching and leadership. Shape standards, mentor instructors, and help launch Club Coops' new Sanctuary studios.
Yoga Lead | The Sanctuary | Club Coops
There are studios that add yoga.
And then there are studios designed around it.
In 2026, Club Coops is introducing, The Sanctuary, a collection of beautifully considered mind–body spaces devoted to Stillness, Movement and Reformer.
Each studio has its own rhythm, energy and intention. Together, they create a place where members slow down, reconnect, and move with purpose.
We’re now seeking a Lead Yoga Instructor to help shape this next chapter.
This is not a volume-based role. It’s a leadership position for a teacher who sees yoga as a craft, a responsibility, and a form of quiet influence.
The Role
As Yoga Lead, you’ll support the Head of Mindbody & Wellness while remaining deeply connected to the studio floor. You’ll teach, mentor, guide standards, and help create a consistent, elevated yoga experience across The Sanctuary.
This role blends:
High-quality teaching
Thoughtful leadership
Mentorship and team support
Contribution to programming and standards
You’ll act as a bridge between instructors and leadership, setting the tone, modelling excellence, and helping teachers feel supported, confident and aligned.
What You’ll Be Doing
Deliver exceptional yoga classes aligned with The Sanctuary’s philosophy and pacing
Model best-practice cueing, sequencing and student experience
Mentor and support yoga instructors through feedback, check-ins and guidance
Support onboarding and development of new teachers
Assist with maintaining teaching frameworks, standards and consistency
Contribute to workshops, events and special programming
Help cultivate a calm, welcoming, deeply considered studio atmosphere
Who This Is For You’re someone who:
Has 3–5+ years of studio-based yoga teaching experience
Holds a 200-hour YTT (500-hour or advanced training preferred)
Has mentored other teachers or stepped into a senior/lead role before
Communicates clearly, kindly and confidently
Values consistency, professionalism and integrity in teaching
Cares deeply about student experience and team culture
Time Commitment & Structure
Total: approx. 8–15 hours per week
Teaching: 4–8 classes per week
Leadership & support: 2–4 paid non-teaching hours
Meetings & collaboration: 1–2 hours weekly or fortnightly
Leadership time is scheduled, defined and paid.
Remuneration
Senior instructor teaching rate
Additional leadership hourly rate or weekly allowance
Role reviewed every 6–12 months as The Sanctuary evolves
This isn’t about filling classes. It’s about setting a standard.
If you’re ready to help shape a space where yoga is treated with respect, intention and care, and where leadership is quiet, thoughtful and meaningful, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply with intention.
Share your experience, your teaching philosophy, and why The Sanctuary resonates with you.
